Beef jerky is about to have a high-class moment, courtesy of the folks at Philadelphia's own Side Project Jerky. All it needed was a little whiskey.

Side Project will host a beef jerky-and-whiskey pairing at Lucky's Last Chance in Manayunk on Wednesday, Nov. 4 at 8 p.m. as part of the upcoming Manayunk Cocktail Week. With offerings organized into flights of single malt whiskey and samples of jerky, the event will be pay-as-you-go.

The self-described "jerky for gentlemen" brand will bring in three distillers for the evening: Balvenie, Glenfiddich, and Monkey Shoulder. As far as jerky goes, Side Project will supply its Southwestern, Pho, and Mongolian varieties, all of which are flagship flavors.

In addition, Side Project Jerky's Marcos Espinoza will be on hand to take care of any jerky-oriented inquiries you may have. Reps from Balvenie, Glenfiddich, and Monkey Shoulder will also be on site.

For more information, keep an eye on Side Project Jerky's social media pages as Nov. 4 approaches.
