Make some room in your Philly Beer Week 2016 schedule, folks.

Spruce Street Harbor Park — the event series' official beer garden — has announced its beer and events lineup for Philly Beer Week, which itself begins 10 days of brew-centric events with Friday's Opening Tap ceremony.

The beer garden will kick its events off Saturday, June 4 and Sunday, June 5 with an Art Star Pop-Up Market from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. That weekend-long market will feature pours of special PBW16 beers Brotherly Suds 7 and Special Belge alongside artisan-made crafts. Participating breweries are as follows:

  1. Victory Brewing Co.

  2. Saranac Brewery

  3. Manayunk Brewing Co.

  4. Sly Fox Brewing Co.

  5. Terrapin Beer Co.

  6. Two Roads Brewing Co.

  7. Yards Brewing Co.

On Monday, June 6, the beer garden will host a showcase of self-distributing, local breweries. Featured brewers include Manayunk Brewing, St. Benjamin Brewing, Philadelphia Brewing Company, Barren Hill Tavern & Brewery, and Forrest & Main Brewing. That event runs 5 p.m. to 11 p.m.

St. Benjamin and PBC will return to Spruce Street the following day, Tuesday, June 7, for a "Local 19125 Showcase" taking place 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. Yards Brewing and Evil Genius Beer will join in for a night celebrating craft breweries in Fishtown and its surrounding neighborhoods.

"Women in Beer" will be the focus for Wednesday, June 8's event, which serves honors female brewers and operators in a male-dominated beer industry. Dock Street Brewery, Evolution Craft Brewing, Barren Hill Tavern & Brewery, and Flying Fish Brewing will be on-hand to pour beers and chat. The event will run 5 p.m. to 11 p.m.

Things get silly Thursday, June 9 with an "epic swan boat showdown" between Victory Brewing, Manayunk Brewing, Wyndridge Farm, and Weyerbacher Brewing from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. The breweries will compete with one another at the Penn's Landing Marina to race around the harbor without spilling a pre-measured pint of beer. The winner, however, will be chosen by popular vote.

Following the race, Spruce Street will kick off its weekly Waterfront Sessions Live Music Series beginning at 7:30 p.m. Oldermost will kick things off with accompaniment by Joey Sweeney and the Long Hair Arkestra.

On Friday, June 10, it's back to beer in a more subdued setting with a "Walk on the Waterfront" from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. Two collaboration brews will be available, along with offerings from a number of local breweries.  The lineup is as follows:

  1. Shiner Bock

  2. Stone and Key Cellars

  3. Stable 12 Brewing

  4. Sly Fox Brewing

  5. Evolution Craft Brewing

  6. Yards Brewing

From there, Spruce Street prepares to wrap up PBW16 with its finale weekend on Saturday, June 11 and Sunday, June 12. This time around, the beer garden will feature an expanded Punk Rock Flea Market for the weekend, as well as beers from Saranac Beer, Wyndridge Farm, Victory, Two Roads Brewing, Stable 12, and others.

With that, Spruce Street Harbor Park will bring its events series for PBW16 to a close. Its Waterfront Sessions music series, however, will run every Thursday through August 25.
