Taste of the Nation has that Sunday feeling again

The 2014 event is set for April 27 at Hotel Monaco Philadelphia, and tickets are now on sale

Last year's Taste of the Nation - the event billed as "No Kid Hungry" - was moved to Sunday night from the restaurant industry "standard" of Monday.

It was a big hit, organizers say.

The 2014 event is set for April 27 at Hotel Monaco Philadelphia, and tickets are now on sale

Chef David Katz of Creekstone Farms is running the event, which will draw about 40 chefs and - new this year - food trucks.

Phoebe Esmon of Emmanuel will lead 10 mixologists from the Philadelphia chapter of the U.S. Bartenders' Guild.

It runs from 6 to 8 p.m. (an hour earlier for VIP) and the tab is $95 for general admission, $145 for VIP

Past Taste of the Nation attendees can expect an email offering an exclusive $15 discount. Tickets are on sale at tasteofthenation.org/philadelphia.
