Union Taco celebrating Christmas with complimentary carnitas

Christmas is almost here, and Union Taco has a present for you.

And not to ruin the surprise, but it's meat.

Chef Nick Farina and Co. will give away complimentary pork carnitas tacos from noon to 3 p.m. Friday, Dec. 23. All you've got to do to get yours is show up with a non-perishable food item for donation at Union Taco in either Manayunk (4229 Main St.) or Flourtown (1666 Bethlehem Pike).

Ordinarily priced at $4 each, Union Taco's carnitas tacos include braised, shredded pork topped with chipotle BBQ sauce, Mahón cheese, crema, and avocado. According to a release, they are the most popular item on the restaurant's menu.

In addition to collecting non-perishable food items to donate, Union Taco will also match customers' monetary donations to charity.
