Pa. Turnpike reopens in Chesco after tractor-trailer fire

A section of the Pennsylvania Turnpike in Chester County that was shut down due to a tractor-trailer fire has reopened.

The Turnpike Commission said the road closure ended about 10:45 a.m. Monday.

Traffic in the eastbound lanes of Interstate 76 had been halted between Exit 312 in Downingtown and Exit 326 for Valley Forge for nearly three hours.

Major delays were reported on the interstate, with backed-up traffic as vehicles were detoured off the highway.
