John Ehinger, former chief operating officer of Willis Re, a multinational reinsurer, has bought control of CardioReady, an eight-year old Conshohocken firm that certifies and promotes the use of defibrilltators, for a price he won't name.
CardioReady employs five, plans to hire up to 10, including sales people, by August, and says it has set up a network of more than 1,000 medical pros to promote defibrillator use. Ehinger, a Princeton and Wharton graduate and a onetime analyst at the former Marian Bank, has set up CR2 LLC as a holding company for CardioReady and other potential acquisitions.
