Wells Fargo & Co., new owner of Wachovia, the dominant bank in metro Philadelphia, has moved Vince Liuzzi across the country to run Wachovia's 170 branches in Philadelphia, its Pennsylvania suburbs, and Delaware. Liuzzi formerly headed Wachovia's San Fernando Valley region (that's the suburbanish part of Los Angeles) and was a district manager in Phoenix and a branch manager before that.
David Miree, who joined Wachovia last year, will head the branch network in central and northeast Pennsylvania. Longtime Wachovia executive Rob Hoak will head business banking (companies under $20 million in yearly sales) for Pennsylvania and Delaware, says spokeswoman Barbara Nate.
Liuzzi, Miree and Hoak report to Hugh Long, the multi-state Wachovia executive retained by Wells to run the Pennsylvania-Delaware banking market. And Susanne Svizeny, formerly Wachovia's regional president for Greater Philadelphia, is now "commercial division manager" (companies $20 million - $250 million) for PA and DE, making her Long's peer in Wells' hierarchy.
