Dawes X 3

You've got not, not two, but three chances today to see Dawes, the Los Angeles rock band fronted by Taylor Goldsmith that you'll really, really like if you like Jackson Browne, Neil Young, Gram Parsons, Joni Mitchell and The Band. (Especially Jackson Browne, who guests on the band's "Fire Away.")  And two of them are free. At 12, the neo-Laurel Canyon sensitive road warriors whose excellent new Nothing Is Wrong came out Tuesday play a Free at Noon at the World Cafe Live. At 5:30, they do an in-store performance at Main Street Music in Manayunk, then bolt over to Fairmount Park where they're first up on a stacked triple bill at the Mann Center that also features Bright Eyes and M. Ward. Ticket info for that here. Below, the band does "Love Is All I Am," from 2009's North Hills at a Daytrotter session.
