A bit of Election Board humor

Election Board Chairman Joseph M. Hoeffel III brought a touch of humor to the proceedings Wednesday, as the three-man panel gathered to take up the weighty discussion of the mistaken inflation of its voter rolls.

When asked by a reporter why he thought voter turnout was so low in Tuesday's election, Hoeffel -- who is not running for a second term as county commissioner -- said: "Because the current candidates are no good."
