Brian Cashman has his reasons for keeping Ben Francisco
Francisco has found a home with the Yankees, where he has become the apple of Brian Cashman's eye.
You may remember 2011 NLDS Game Three hero Ben Francisco.
He had big hits during the first and third to last games of the Phillies' season that year, and in between was best known for not being Jayson Werth.
The Phillies traded Francisco last year to the Blue Jays for a minor leaguer named Frank Gailey, whose claim to fame thus far been "being the guy the Blue Jays traded for Ben Francisco."
Francisco, however, has found a home with the New York Yankees, where he has become the apple of general manager Brian Cashman's eye.
Why? Well, probably because of his frantic offensive output.
Oh.
Well.
At least you'll always have Game Three, Ben.
