Iverson currently a starter in the All-Star Game

NBA.com issued a release today with the latest All-Star Game voting results. And guess who's playing (for now, anyway)? Perennial All-Star Allen Iverson.

NBA.com issued a release today with the latest All-Star Game voting results. According to the release, Sixers' guard Allen Iverson currently ranks second among Eastern Conference guards with 635,084 votes.

Iverson, who is averaging 14.4 points and 4.0 assists per game this season, has missed three straight games with arthritis in his left knee. The 34-year-old is scheduled to return on Dec. 28 against the Portland Trailblazers.

If Iverson makes the All-Star Game it will be his 11th consecutive appearance.

Paper voting for the All-Star Game "will continue through Jan. 10, while wireless balloting and voting on NBA.com will conclude Jan. 18" according to the release.

The NBA All-Star Game will be played on Feb. 14, 2010 at Cowboys Stadium.
