Jimmie Johnson wins award given to athletes, despite Donovan McNabb's thoughts

One silly thing Donovan McNabb said this year was that NASCAR drivers aren't athletes. While some people may agree and others disagree, the dismissive, patronizing way that McNabb announced his opinion on FOX Sports 1 didn't help, and irked some of the grown adults who make their living driving NASCARs.

But that was months ago! Who remembers things Donovan McNabb said months ago and then brings them up again, as if from nowhere?

Jimmie Johnson does, it turns out. Johnson was the driver in question when McNabb made his comment, and just recently was named the third best athlete of the year by AP.
