Nefertiti Jaquez out at NBC10

NBC 10 Philadelphia has confirmed for me reporter Nefertiti Jaquez is no longer with the station.

When I reached out NBC said they do not comment on personnel matters.

A spokesman would not comment on the reason for it, but several sources say Jaquez was let go for reporting live, on-air the name of slain Police Officer Robert Wilson III over this past weekend.

Her bio has also been removed from the NBC10 website.

A Tweet sent on Thursday evening at 5:37 p.m. by Yvette A. Nunez (@yvetteanunez), read:

"@nefertitijaquez: We have learned the Philadelphia Police officer who was shot earlier at 22/Lehigh has died. Que triste!" It has since been deleted.

Attempts to reach Jaquez yesterday and today so far have been unsuccessful.
