Although Villanova's season ended in disappointing fashion, the Wildcats' overall success got some deserved recognition on Monday.
'Nova guard Darrun Hilliard was named Big 5 Player of the Year, and backcourt partner Ryan Arcidiacono was also named to the all-Big 5 first team. Phil Booth won Rookie of the Year honors, and big men Daniel Ochefu and JayVaughn Pinkston were named to the all-Big 5 second team. Jay Wright also took home Coach of the Year honors.
The award-winners will be recognized at the Big 5 banquet on Monday, April 13 at the Palestra. Banquet tickets are $50 each and can be reserved by contacting Steve Crider at 814-935-5015 or steve@philadelphiabig5.org.
