Temple football recruiting update
When Maryland prep defensive lineman Malik Burns announced on Twitter over the weekend he had committed to Temple, it gave the Owls 18 commitments for the class of 2017.
Burns played at Maryland's Lackey High, the same school as now redshirt sophomore Cortrelle Simpson, who was a receiver but is now listed as a defensive back.
Under new coach Geoff Collins, the Owls have appeared to hold onto most of their recruits.
Our usual disclaimer - nothing is official until a player signs a national Letter of Intent beginning Feb. 1.
This weekend is a big one for Temple as several potential recruits will be on campus for visits. Here is the latest list according to a person familiar with the Owls recruiting.
