Tom Pajic, a 1987 Paul VI graduate who was an Inquirer all-area wide receiver during his senior season, is returning home.
Pajic was named on Thursday by Temple football coach Geoff Collins as the team's director of player personnel. He fills the position vacated by E.J. Barthel, who left in March to become recruiting coordinator at Penn State.
"I've known Tommy for over 20 years and have always respected his eye for talent, his relentless work ethic and his tremendous ability to relate to people," Collins said in a statement released by the school.
Pajic had been the head coach the previous five seasons at Quincy (Ill.), a Division II school. Before that, he spent eight seasons as offensive coordinator at his alma mater, Bloomsburg. That came after a four-year stint as wide receivers coach at South Florida. He also coached one season each at Wilkes and Hofstra, four years at Fordham, and one year at Gettysburg.
