Temple's Obi Enechionyia is eager for his first NBA workout, when he will visit the Boston Celtics on Friday.
Enechionyia, a 6-foot-10 junior, entered his name in the NBA draft but didn't hire an agent. Players who don't sign with an agent have until May 24 to pull out of the draft and maintain their college eligibility.
"I am looking forward to going to Boston, show what I can do," Enechionyia said in a phone interview. "I am anxious to get the feedback and see what I need to improve on."
Enechionyia said he has no other NBA workouts set up.
"I know there are other teams that have shown interest," he said.
This past season, Enechionyia averaged 13.1 points and 5.8 rebounds. A stretch power forward, he shot 38.5 percent from three-point range.
