Sixers' Henderson to miss next two games

SALT LAKE CITY – Gerald Henderson will miss the 76ers' next two games because of pain in his left hip.

The Sixers are here to face the Utah Jazz at Vivint Smart Home Arena on Thursday night. Then they'll travel to Denver to face the Nuggets on Friday night at the Pepsi Center.

Henderson left Monday's game against the Sacramento Kings with 8 minutes, 59 seconds remaining  and didn't return. The veteran guard has been dealing with the hip pain all season, but was laboring and ineffective on the defensive end against the Kings.

He said soreness and stiffness are the result of his having two surgeries on that hip. Henderson initially had surgery to repair a torn labrum in May 2011 while with the  Charlotte Bobcats. His second surgery, in July 2015, was arthroscopic.
