Sixers waive Sasha Kaun

The 76ers waived Sasha Kaun on Sunday, two days after acquiring him and cash in exchange for the rights to Chukwudiebere Maduabum in a trade with the Cleveland Cavaliers.

The cash covered more than $1.3 million Kaun is scheduled to make this season. The trade was nothing more than a way for the Cavaliers to clear cap space.

The 6-foot-11, 260-pound Kaun averaged one point and one rebound in four minutes in 25 appearances this past season for the Cavs.
