Gift from bank pushes wolf back from Golden Sunrise’s door
Golden Sunrise, the lone surviving club in the Mummers' Fancy Division, thought 2015 might be its last march, without an infusion of cash.
It has just received $10,000 from Republic Bank.
"We are a community bank and we want to support our communities here. This is a perfect chance for us to do that and save the Fancy Division, which is a fabulous thing for us to do," said Rhonda Costello, the bank's chief retail officer.
