Dirk Nowitzki is not a fan of professional wrestling

There are millions of wrestling fans around the world. Dallas Mavericks power forward Dirk Nowitzki is apparently not one of them.

In a blog from the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, Nowitzki was asked about his wrestling fandom as WWE Raw was at the American Airlines Center in Dallas Monday, the home of the Mavericks.

The former NBA Finals MVP did not attend the show and was not sad he missed it.

"I actually went to that a couple years ago," Nowitzki said Monday. "When I first got here when we were still at Reunion (Arena), it was fun."

"I was a huge Hulk Hogan fan and Ultimate Warrior and all that crap. But that's a long time ago, so I guess I grew out of that."

Nowitzki is a native of Germany where a number of big-name professional wrestlers cut their teeth before becoming big stars, including the likes of Chris Jericho.
