Hiroshi Tanahashi and Kazuchika Okada are New Japan Pro Wrestling's top two stars and have engaged in multiple high-profile matches against each other over the last couple of years, including at Wrestle Kingdom 9 in January.

So it is fitting that the former IWGP Heavyweight Champions are the first two names that are confirmed to represent New Japan for its four joint shows with Ring of Honor here in North America in May.

Philadelphia fans will get to see Japan's top stars in person at War of the Worlds on Tuesday, May 12 and Wednesday, May 13 at the 2300 Arena in South Philadelphia.

Despite being only 27 years of age, Okada has already amassed a lengthy list of accomplishments, including winning the IWGP Heavyweight Championship twice and winning both he G1 Climax Tournament and the New Japan Cup.

Who he will compete against during these joint shows has yet to be revealed.
