WWE Hall of Famer Steve Austin to host new reality show on CMT

Country Music Television announced via a press release Wednesday that it had given the green light to begin production on seven new series for the network, including Steve Austin's Broken Skull Ranch, which will be hosted by WWE Hall of Famer "Stone Cold" Steve Austin.

According to the release, the show will debut in June and is currently slated for 10 one-hour episodes. Austin will host the show as eight athletes take part in the "ultimate badass competition show."

The contestants will take part in tests of strength, stamina and endurance until the last contestant is standing. The winner will then take on the toughest obstacle course in the country titled the "Skullbuster" for a chance to win $10,000.

All of this will take place on Austin's own Broken Skull Ranch that he owns in south Texas. Those who listen to Austin's popular podcast know that he stops by his ranch multiple times a year and is currently there for deer season.

This is not Austin's first foray into hosting a reality television show. He hosted the most recent season of WWE Tough Enough and hosted three seasons of Redneck Island for CMT.
