National French Fry Day is Monday, July 13.
National French Fry Day is Monday, July 13.
A known Philly favorite, also mentioned as Esquire Magazine's best menu item at Citizens Bank Park, Crabfries from Chickie's and Pete's will be selling for only a buck at all full-service restaurants. Considering that these fries are sold at CBP for $11 a bucket, that's a steal.
The crab house and sports bar will also serve Miller Lite pitchers for $5. Both offers are available from 11 a.m. to midnight. With each purchase, Chickie's and Pete's will donate sales to the Survivors Fund, a charity that benefits families of fallen Philadelphia police officers.
That's not all.
Besides the in-store promotions, Chickie's and Pete's (1526 Packer Ave.) in South Philly will host its first, and sure not to be last, Crabfries-eating contest. The eat-off starts at 6 p.m. The winner will receive a $1,000 Visa gift card and free Crabfries for life. Think you have what it takes? Register here.
For another special: As recognition to our officers on duty, the Crabfries Express truck will hand out free fries to police districts that have recently lost a member in the department.
