Dirty Projectors Rise Above

For the past 7 years, Dave Longstreth has led an ever-changing band to play his songs. The production on Dirty Projectors records are what first gave them their name, but their live show is just as good, if not better. What else would you expect from an indie-rock band who record a whole album of Black Flag covers from memory?

Tonight, they'll be at the First Unitarian Church with Brooklyn's Skeletons and Vieux Farka Toure, a reggae/rock guitarist from Mali. Really. And the band is surprisingly awesome, all things considered. Just listen to Toure play guitar and you'll be amazed. Dude's insane.

The show is completely sold out so be sure to get there early and try and find someone if you want an extra ticket.
