Besides Thanksgiving, here are 5 food events to keep on your radar: 
Learn how to make your fruits last on Monday, Nov. 23 during Fall in Love with Preserving at the Free Library of Philadelphia (1901 Vine St.). Food blogger Marisa McClellan and farmer Ben Wenk will get things started at 6 p.m. and demonstrate how to make delicious jams and answer any questions you may have.

Grab your cowboy boots and partner, Pub & Kitchen's (1946 Lombard St.) Country Delight is back! Kicking things off at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 24, the restaurant will serve buttermilk fried chicken, pork, smoked short ribs and more. Aside from the food, sip on discounted beers and whiskey throughout the night.

Free is good. On Tuesday, Nov. 24 taste courtesy samples of cocktails from the area’s top mixologists during Battle of the Bartenders at the Market and Shops at the Comcast Center (1701 John F Kennedy Blvd #300). Celebrate Black Friday (Nov. 27) with beer deals as BRÜ Craft and Wurst (1316 Chestnut St.) hosts Fade to Black: An all-day happy hour. Things get started at 11 a.m. and will feature specialty dark beers from Left Hand, Firestone Walker, Bells and more. Additionally, special food options will be served, too! 

On Friday, Nov. 27 learn a new sweet skill during a Colonial Chocolate Making Class at Betsy Ross's House (239 Arch St.). From 11 to 4 p.m. visitors will get an inside look at how cocoa bars were made in the 1700s.
