As if playing skee ball and pool inside a bar isn't enough of a reason to visit Garage (1231 E. Passyunk Ave.) on Monday, Nov. 3, chef Christina Martin from Down Dog Healing Café makes a stop at the onsite food truck at the South Philly bar offering a Friendsgiving meal that will feature vegan and gluten-free menu items. Items on the list run from $3-8 and include plates such as butternut and apple curry soup, cauliflower mash, and pumpkin pie bars. The menu is available at 6 p.m.

Fulfill your food cravings while supporting the March of Dimes, an organization that helps moms give birth to healthy babies, on Thursday, Nov. 6 during the 18th Annual Signature Chefs Gala. Renowned chefs located all throughout Philadelphia will prepare their signature dishes at the Please Touch Museum (4231 Avenue of the Republic) for all to try. Some participating chefs will be chef Jon Cichon of LaCroix, chef Nicholas Elmi from Laurel Restaurant, and chef Lou Boquilla of Cook. In honor of 30 years of serving the community and fighting hunger in the Delaware County Valley, on Friday, Nov. 7, Philabundance will host its one-time anniversary event — The Beet Hunger Bash that will honor Philabundance's founder, Pamela Rainey Lawler.  The goal is to raise enough money to provide 500,000 meals for people who are in need. Tickets are $150 per person and $75 for young professionals under 30. Participating food and drink sponsors include Brulee Catering, Hai Street Kitchen, Chef's Table, Perch Pub, Yards Brewing, and more. The gala starts at 7 p.m. and is located at the Simeone Foundation Automotive Museum (6825-31 Norwitch Dr.).

Atlantic City isn't just about that bell going off when you hit the jackpot, it's about food too. The Borgata Hotel (1 Borgata Way) and its renowned chefs host Street Eats — an evening celebrating great cuisine and drinks located in this A.C. Hotel. For $89 guests can taste signature dishes and converse with chefs Wolfgang Puck, Bobby Flay, Stephan Kalt, Geoffrey Zakarian, and restaurateurs Greg and Marc Sherry. Experience this opportunity at 8 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 8.

If Saturday night left you a wee bit dreary, The City Tap House (3925 Walnut St.) invites all to rejuvenate their Sunday morning with a Colossus Brunch on Sunday, Nov. 9 which will not only be filled with food, but with beer also. The brunch will include menu items from chef Chad Vetter including: Yard Bird and waffles, French toast, Chop n' Eggs, and Pizza Smash. As for the beer — DuClaw brews are being paired with the brunch. Expect DuClaw notables such as Sweet Baby Jesus, Dirty Little Freak, Retribution, and the release of a heavy-hitting Colossus beer with an ABV of 17.3 percent. The brunch starts at 11 a.m. and is a pay-as-you-go-type deal.
