#PhillyFive Things to Do: Dec. 27, 2014

It’s crunch time. Better make the rest of this year memorable.

It's crunch time. Better make the rest of this year memorable.

For a matinee: You'll shoot your eye out! But if you get to the Bryn Mawr Film Institute (824 W. Lancaster Ave.) for an 11 a.m. showing of "A Christmas Story," your vision will likely be spared.

For a pairing: These aren't your mom's grilled cheeses. Made with rich ingredients like cheddar on brioche with a mini crab cake, these grilled cheese sandwiches will be paired with craft beers. Get your grub on at World Café Live at the Queen  (500 N. Market St., Wilmington, Del.) starting at 3 p.m.

For more World Café Live love: A group of local singer/songwriters including Gina Cardillo, Melissa Clampffer, Emily Mineo and more will show off their stuff tonight at World Café Live (3025 Walnut St.) at 7 p.m. this evening.

For lookalikes: Almost like the real thing, Beatlemania Now brings audiences hits from the legendary band's repertoire from 1964 through 1969 — in authentic costume. Take your pick between two show times: 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. at the Sellersville Theater (Main St. and Temple Ave., Sellersville, Pa.).

For a holiday party: This one's easy. Show up at the Dolphin Tavern (1539 S. Broad St.) at 10 p.m. tonight for a free party with sounds from Making Time's Dave P. Rad.
