Jersey woman gets DUI, calls friend for ride. Friend gets DUI, calls friend for ride. Friend gets DUI...

In an impressively embarrassing showing, a group of friends got all the DUIs in Jersey over the weekend as they systematically followed each other to the police station, essentially.

In an impressively embarrassing showing, a group of friends got all the DUIs in Jersey over the weekend as they systematically followed each other to the police station, essentially.

A 34-year-old Whitehouse Station woman, Carmen Reatequi, was pulled over by a patrolman for swerving on Route 22 East. She proceeded to fail a field sobriety test.

After reportedly failing the field sobriety test, the woman was free to go, provided she could arrange a ride for herself.

Enter: Nina Petracca.

Reatequi then called Nina Petracca, 23, of Dunellen for a ride. Once Petracca arrived at the station, Patrolman Peter Serrone started explaining the potential liability form to her.

Petracca said she had driven to headquarters and Serrone noticed that Petracca displayed signs of intoxication so he had her do sobriety tests in the lobby of the building and she failed.

Once that fiasco was handled, the pair called 33-year-old Ryan Hogan for a ride. By now, you should be able to guess how that played out...

As the officer explained the potential liability form to Hogan, Ferreiro detected the odor of alcohol coming from him and noticed that he, too, appeared to be drunk, police said.

After Hogan failed sobriety tests, he was also charged with DWI. All three drivers were later released to a sober adult, police reported. They are set to appear in court in January.

These guys are like the Johnny Vander Meer of DUIs. Except, you know, significantly sadder. [NJ.com]
