Pope Francis XVI has been a bit unconventional since becoming the leader of the Catholic Church. He's written a letter to gay Catholics and washed the feet of criminals and, according to recent reports, been sneaking out of the Vatican dressed as a regular priest to help the homless.

On Tuesday evening, Stephen Colbert addressed the issues that arise thanks to the "Vigilante Vicar." Basically, he dubbed Pope Francis "The Batpope" and made a bevy of wonderful Batman jokes.
He's just like Bruce Wayne! He's a wealthy bachelor who lives alone in a giant mansion. And Bruce Wayne had the Batmobile while Francis has the Popemobile. Not only that, Batman talks to Morgan Freeman and the Pope talks to God, who is also Morgan Freeman.
