American CEO calls for aviation infrastructure spending

American Airlines chairman Gerard Arpey has called for the neglected U.S. aviation infrastructure to be included in any economic stimulus spending by the Obama administraton and Congress. This is a timely call by the head of the world's largest airline, and comes at a time carriers worldwide are losing money, primarily because of the recession, as noted in the posting here yesterday.
