Airlines held liable in 2000 Concorde crash

A French court has held Continental Airlines employees criminally liable in part for the 2000 crash of a supersonic Concorde operated by Air France that killed all aboard and four on the ground. The court found that a titanium strip that fell off a Continental DC-10 that took off from Paris' Charles de Gaulle Airport just ahead of the Concorde was among the causes of the crash. Read lots of detail about the decision, French jurisprudence and the accident itself at this link.
