US Airways adds to service from Philadelphia to Texas cities

US Airways Group Inc. will begin new, nonstop daily service between Philadelphia and Austin and San Antonio, Tex., starting Sept. 5. A sixth daily nonstop flight between Philadelphia and Dallas Fort Worth also will begin Sept. 5.

The flights aim to give customers "more access" to top business destinations, Philadelphia's largest airline, which transports nearly 70 percent of air travelers here, said Monday.

The Austin flight will depart Austin at 7:45 a.m., arriving at Philadelphia International Airport at 12:08 p.m., and will depart Philadelphia for Austin at 5:50 p.m., arriving at 8:39 p.m.

The San Antonio flight will depart San Antonio at 8:15 a.m., arriving in Philadelphia at 12:14 p.m. and departing Philadelphia for San Antonio at 6:10 p.m. to arrive there at 9:13 p.m.

An additional Dallas Fort Worth departure will leave Texas at 8:35 a.m., arriving in Philadelphia at 12:47 p.m., and leave Philadelphia for Dallas Fort Worth at 4 p.m., arriving there at 6:39 p.m. US Airways currently has five daily nonstop flights to Dallas Fort Worth, except on Saturday when the airline has three flights.
