QVC has a record weekend

Shopping network QVC Inc., of West Chester, today said it logged record two-day sales on TV and online this past weekend.

The company said it took domestic orders for $105 million in merchandise pitched on television Saturday and Sunday, and another $25 million in orders through its Web site, QVC.com.

Orders included 31,000 Dell computers hawked Sunday afternoon by Dell Inc. chief executive Michael Dell, QVC said.

QVC, a subsidiary of Liberty Media Corp., has annual revenue of $7 billion.
