Phila. region's gas prices hit new highs
The average price of a gallon of no-lead gas continued to rise in the region: In the five-county Philadelphia region, it was up 2 cents overnight to $3.50. In South Jersey, the price jumped 3 cents to $3.35, according to AAA Mid-Atlantic.

The auto club said that all of those new averages are all-time highs.
The average price of a gallon of diesel in the Philadelphia region was up to $4.51.
In South Jersey, the average for diesel reached $4.22.
At the national level, the price was at $4.21.
AAA Mid-Atlantic reported that the diesel prices, too, were at all-time highs.
Light, sweet crude fell $1.04 to $117.03 on the New York Mercantile Exchange, the Associated Press reported.
