SEPTA hearings to begin on King of Prussia rail project

The first two of three hearings on extending SEPTA's Norristown High Speed Line to King of Prussia and Upper Merion Township is scheduled for Monday.

The hearings, preceded by an open house, will be held in the Jefferson Ballroom at the DoubleTree Hotel, 301 W. DeKalb Pike, King of Prussia.

The first session begins with an open house starting at 1 p.m. with the public hearing scheduled for 2 to 4 p.m.

The second session begins with an open house at 5 p.m. with the hearing slated for 6 to 8 p.m.

The third session will be held Wednesday, starting at 5 p.m. at the Norristown Municipal Building,
235 E. Airy Street, Norristown.

SEPTA unveiled its final proposal for the $1.1 billion project in February, 2016.
