Hollywood got both in Medford's Trevor Heins, whose work hits the big screen tomorrow in Gracie, the film about a girl who fights to compete against boys in soccer after her brother is killed. Trevor plays Daniel, a younger brother of protagonist Grace (Carly Schroeder).

Trevor, 13, a seventh grader at Medford Memorial, was on the FX series Rescue Me for three seasons as Connor, the son killed last year by a drunken driver. Trevor's soccer credential: midfield on the championship Medford Hurricanes.

Filming last year in New Jersey was "totally awesome," says Trevor.

Gracie is based on the family of Elisabeth and Andrew Shue, whose older brother Will was killed in a fall from a tree. The Shues and Elisabeth's husband, Davis Guggenheim, all had a hand in the film, and "I got to be part of the family," Trevor says. "They really welcomed me." His own family, by the way, has a soccer pedigree. His father and grandfather, both named Bill, are fixtures in South Jersey soccer; Trevor's older brother, Ryan, was just drafted by the Philadelphia Kixx.
