* It's the ultimate comfort-food event - the New Year's Day Pajama Party Brunch at White Dog Cafe (3420 Sansom St., 215-386-9224), now in its 26th year. Come in your jammies from 10:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. for an a la carte spread of hearty fare such as Apple Cider Pumpkin Bisque and Chihuahua steak and eggs. Plus Mummers music and sing-along piano.

* It's not exactly the height of the growing season, but that's not stopping the Piazza at Schmidt's (2nd Street and Germantown Avenue, 215-467-4603) from debuting a farmer's market Jan. 16. More than 20 area vendors will be on hand from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. every Saturday.

* Head out to Bucks County's Crossing Vineyards and Winery (1853 Wrightstown Road, Washington Crossing, 215-493-6500, ext. 19) for a seven-course tasting menu paired with wine, 5:30 p.m. Jan. 10. It's $65; reservations required.

* Join the Daily News' Joe Sixpack (aka Don Russell) for the first beer pairing dinner at McKenzie Brew House (451 Wilmington-West Chester Pike, Glen Mills, 610-361-9800) at 7 p.m. Jan. 21. Cost is $49. Traditional farmhouse ales and aged beers will be sampled. If you're a home brewer, McKenzie is having a Belgian Homebrew Competition. Contact the brewery for details.
