Gary Thompson: Fans can sink their teeth into 'Twilight: Eclipse'

"THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE" DVD is made with fans in mind. If you select the commentary feature, for instance, you don't get input from some dweeby writer or director - you get Rob Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and series author Stephenie Meyer. There is also a photo gallery with plenty of Edward and Jacob beefcake, a six-part behind-the-scenes documentary, music videos of the film's songs, and the usual extended and deleted scenes.

Those who've outgrown "Twilight" might consider "Knight and Day," but only if desperate. This rom-com misfire features Tom Cruise as a spy/narcissist who kidnaps a civilian (Cameron Diaz) in harm's way. Cruise has great chemistry with . . . himself.

Pre-"Twilight" males might enjoy "The Sorcerer's Apprentice," another Disney effort to recapture the "Pirates of the Caribbean" mojo by leveraging a Disney property (a bit from "Fantasia"). Nicolas Cage is a wizard battling old enemies with help from a nerdy protege (Jay Baruchel). Heavy on effects, light on character.

"Going the Distance," the Drew Barrymore, Justin Long long-distance relationship comedy, in theaters 10 minutes ago, also gets a release this week.
