Brian Sanders' JUNK, a dance theater company known for its innovative and creative performances,  presents the third in its "Urban Scuba" series, Adult Swim, featuring sensual aerial dance performances, as well as Sanders' cheeky tribute to The Nutcracker.

Kids can get their hands on a variety of building toys, organized chronologically to show the origins behind such playthings as LEGOs and Tinker Toys, at the Center for Architecture and Design. The collection also includes toys that were designed in the Philadelphia area.

Part of the Philadelphia Museum of Art's Friday Nights Series, Jackie Ribas and the Carlos Almeida Quintet will put a Brazilian twist on holiday classics. Performances at 5:45 and 7:15 p.m. in the Great Stair Hall.

The Pennsylvania Ballet's Nutcracker is a holiday tradition for many Philadelphians, and this year's performance  captures Christmas magic with beautiful, Philadelphia-inspired sets and an appearance by the Philadelphia Boys Choir.
