Americans petition the White House for a Death Star

Why would America be building drones when the government could be funding the research, materials, and labor necessary to construct a Death Star? That question may seem ridiculous, but 1,245 people have signed a petition urging President Obama to get on this, STAT. They want the Obama administration to secure funding and begin construction on America's Death Star by 2016.

The petition reads, "By focusing our defense resources into a space-superiority platform and weapon system such as a Death Star, the government can spur job creation in the fields of construction, engineering, space exploration, and more, and strengthen our national defense."
