HBO buys new drama 'Laughs Unlimited'

Sunday nights are about to be much more depressing thanks to a new series purchased by HBO. Laughs Unlimited is an hour-long drama from the Jarhead scribe and the director of The Messenger. The show will chronicle the life of an Army medic that returns home from Afghanistan to learn that her husband is divorcing her and taking custody of their child. The show's name is ironic military slang and references a place that the protagonist and her fellow cops hang out to blow off steam. [Deadline]
