Right-wing author Joel Rosenberg totally has this whole gun violence thing figured out, you guys—it's pretty much Jon Stewart's fault for ruining everyone's Christmas. Rosenberg—who previously linked Hurricane Sandy to the abortion issue—rattles off, in a recent blog post, a slew of examples of the "War on Christmas", including a link to a Mediaite piece dissecting Stewart's take on the "War on Christmas". Rosenburg writes:

"The answer is as painful as it is simple: the further we turn away from God in our nation — the further we drive Him out of our society, out of our schools and courts, and out of our media, and out of our homes; or the more we give mere lip service to religion; the more men are ”holding to a form of godliness, although they have denied its power” (2 Timothy 3:5) — the worse things are getting. Consider just the cultural war against Jesus and Christmas that has been waged just in the last few days:..."

Then, he links to a bunch of "War on Christmas" stuff. See? It's all Jon Stewart's fault. It's so clear now. [h/t Salon]
