Philadelphia-area natives Benj Pasek and Kevin Bacon received nominations for the 75th annual Golden Globe Awards at a ceremony Monday morning that featured presenters including Kristen Bell, Sharon Stone, and others.
Pasek, from Ardmore, was nominated for best original song for his work on "This Is Me." The song appears in The Greatest Showman, starring Hugh Jackman as P.T. Barnum. The film was also nominated for best picture in the comedy or musical category.
Pasek wrote the track alongside lyricist and writing partner Justin Paul, whom he previously worked with on Dear Evan Hansen and La La Land. Pasek and Paul took home a Golden Globe for best original song last year for La La Land's "City of Stars." They would go on to win an Oscar for the same song.

Philly boy Bacon, meanwhile, got a nomination for best actor in a comedy television series for his role as Dick in Amazon's I Love Dick. Bacon previously took home a Golden Globe in 2010 for his role as Marine Col. Michael Strobl in the Iraq War drama Taking Chance.
This Is Us creator Dan Fogelman, a New Jersey native, also got a little love, with the series earning three nominations: Best supporting actress for Chrissy Metz, best actor for Sterling K. Brown, and best television series overall. Fogelman graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 1997.

Guillermo del Toro's The Shape of Water led the Globes this year with seven nominations, including best picture, best director, and best screenplay. The Shape of Water opens in area theaters on Friday.
The Nicole Kidman/Reese Witherspoon series Big Little Lies trailed closely with six nominations, the most of any television show represented.
This year's awards come amid a string of sexual misconduct accusations in Hollywood, beginning earlier this year with producer Harvey Weinstein. Sexual harassment and assault allegations have since expanded to include stars such as Dustin Hoffman, Matt Lauer, Brett Ratner, and Kevin Spacey, among others. Spacey was replaced by Christopher Plummer in Ridley Scott's All the Money in the World, for which Plummer received a best supporting actor nomination.
Snubs included favorites such as Julia Louis-Dreyfus' Veep, Kumail Nanjiani's The Big Sick, and the Patty Jenkins-directed Wonder Woman. For one fan online, no nominations for The Big Sick makes this year's Golden Globes "the most shameful in awards history":
This year's Golden Globe Awards will air from the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills at 8 p.m. Jan. 7 on NBC. Seth Meyers will host.
