The meet and greet will benefit CASA of Atlantic and Cape May Counties, which will use the money to purchase luggage for foster children.

As children, Haddish and her siblings were in the foster home system after their mother suffered brain damage following a car accident. Haddish was forced to carry her personal items in trash bags when moving between homes, and hopes to keep other foster children from the same situation.

2017 was a big year for Haddish, who broke out in Girls Trip, starred in her first Showtime stand-up special and was the year's best talk show guest.

Haddish's next big project is Night School, in which she appears alongside Philly's own Kevin Hart, out Sept. 28. However, as she recently told Vanity Fair, Hart was her "comedy guardian angel" early on in her career, and gave lent Haddish money when she was living out of her car.

"I'm just like, 'Wow. Full circle,'" Haddish told Vanity Fair. "When he sees me, he says he's so proud of me and stuff. And he's always giving me the best advice. And I try to listen to him. Sometimes I don't. And then I'll be like, 'Dang, I should've listened.'"
