The holiday season is, for some, the most hectic time of the year. With only a handful of days between Christmas and NYE, time is limited when it comes to decorating the house for another gathering of friends. Repurposing a few leftovers and scraps from around the house, these three DIY crafts can be tackled in no time and will keep your wallet happy.

Sparkly Balloon Streamers

What you will need:

1 metal key ring

1 metallic gold door curtain (Found at Party City, similar to this)

1 package metallic Christmas tinsel garland (Found at Hobby Lobby)

Tissue paper fringes, paper hearts & other miscellaneous trimmings

Makes 5 balloon streamers.

Basic Summary: To make these streamers, all of the foil, tissue paper, trimmings, etc. are tied to a metal key ring that is then secured to the base of a 36″ balloon. For the full how-to, check out Blue Eyed Yonder.

Party Paper Garland

What you will need:

1 colored paper for dots

2 one-inch circle punch

3 1/8″ hold punch

4 metallic string/ribbon

Basic Summary: This DIY is all about simple and easy. All you need to know how to do is punch circles. You can even have some fun by alternating the circle sizes or tying little bows in between groups of circles. It's a great way to put to use all of that leftover wrapping paper! Mason Jar String Lights

What you will need:

Desired quantity of mason jars

Christmas light strand with clear bulbs

1/16″ cable with aluminum end clamps and wall hooks

Drill with bits of varying sizes

Basic Summary: Drill two small and one large hole in the jar lids for the metal hanging cable and the light bulb. Insert the bulb into the large hole after stringing the support cable through and secure to wall hooks at each end. Get the walkthrough at domestiCate.
