Whether or not the Eagles make it to Super Bowl LII, Philly will be represented at the big game this year.
Doylestown native Pink will perform "The Star-Spangled Banner" as part of the pregame show Feb. 4 at the U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, the NFL announced Monday. Lady Gaga, Alicia Keys, and Christina Aguilera have been tapped to perform the national anthem at the Super Bowl in previous years. Country star Luke Bryan performed it last last year.
Monday's announcement comes months after the NFL said pop star Justin Timberlake would perform the halftime show. Timberlake infamously ripped off a portion of Janet Jackson's costume during a halftime performance in 2004, resulting in an incendiary incident now known as Nipplegate. During an appearance on Sunday Night Football in October, Timberlake said that "won't happen this time."

Pink released her seventh studio album, Beautiful Trauma, in October. Featuring singles "What About Us," "Revenge," and "Beautiful Trauma," the album was 2017's biggest debut for a female artist, according to Billboard.
She will return to her roots April 13 with a performance at the Wells Fargo Center as part of the "Beautiful Trauma" tour. The show is sold out.
The Eagles face off against the Atlanta Falcons in a divisional playoff game at Lincoln Financial Field on Saturday.
