Stargate: Continuum (9 p.m., SciFi) - This direct-to-video sequel to the Stargate SG-1 series continues the saga of the adventurers who pass between worlds via a special portal. Richard Dean Anderson, Michael Shanks, Amanda Tapping, Christopher Judge, and Beau Bridges all reprise their roles in a story that changes the franchise's history, making it seem that the Stargate project never existed. Portions of the film, which also features William Devane, were shot in the Arctic.

NBA Finals (9 p.m., 6ABC) - An 82-game regular season and three tiers of playoffs come into sharp focus beginning tonight as the Orlando Magic and the Los Angeles Lakers clash in the NBA Finals.

Royal Pains (10 p.m., USA) - In this new drama series, brash but brilliant young doctor Hank Lawson (Mark Feuerstein) finds his career on the critical list after a decision in the emergency room gets him blacklisted from the medical community. Then a trip to the Hamptons with his brother (Paulo Constanzo) winds up landing him a gig as a doctor for hire to the rich and pampered. Campbell Scott and Christine Ebersole guest-star.

Late Show With David Letterman (11:35 p.m., CBS3) - Elvis Costello performs.

The Tonight Show With Conan O'Brien (11:35 p.m., NBC10) - Actress Gwyneth Paltrow; comic Joel McHale; the John Mayer Trio performs.
