* Eating well to fight hunger is also the theme for a six-course dinner "Top Chef" Kevin Sbraga is putting together at his restaurant Sbraga (440 S. Broad St., 215-735-1913, Sbraga.com) with a stellar lineup of local chefs May 14. Nicholas Elmi, Walter Abrams, Shola Olunloyo, Jonathan Adams and Dave Katz will join him in support of Share Our Strength's No Kid Hungry campaign. Tix are $150 each.

* May is National Hamburger Month, don't ya know, and what better way to celebrate than at the Third Annual Philadelphia Burger Brawl, courtesy of Rob Wasserman (Rouge, 500 Degrees, The Saint James), from 3 to 6 p.m. May 5 at the Fleisher Art Memorial (719 Catharine St.) The event raises money for computer labs in Philadelphia's public elementary schools. Only 700 tix, $75 each, are being sold at eventbrite.com.
* Also requiring a bit of planning is the new series of cooking classes at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. Stephen Starr Events, which handles food operations at the museum, has exec chef Gerald Drummond tutoring 10 to 15 students per class on a variety of techniques.
