BBQ TURKEY BURGERS
4 teaspoons canola oil
1/8 cup minced onions
1 tablespoon minced parsley
2 teaspoons poultry seasoning
2 pounds lean ground turkey
1 large egg white
1/2 cup dried cranberries
1/2 cup crushed stuffing mix
Salt and pepper to taste
1 bottle Miss Patti's Good Life Sweet Agave Bourbon BBQ Sauce
6 toasted hamburger buns
Lettuce and tomato, optional
Heat 2 teaspoons of the oil in a small saute pan over medium heat. Add the onions, parsley and poultry seasoning and saute for 3 minutes or until the onions are soft. Remove from heat.
Place the turkey in a mixing bowl and add the egg white; squeeze mixture to blend. Add the cranberries, stuffing mix and sauteed onion mix. Use your hands to mix well. Add salt and pepper to taste, and about 2 tablespoons Agave Bourbon BBQ Sauce.
Form 6 patties of equal size. Heat a grill pan coated with the remaining 2 teaspoons of oil over medium-high heat. Place patties in pan and cook 7 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked. Be careful not to overcook, or the burgers will be too dry.
Place burgers on toasted hamburger buns and spread with Agave Bourbon BBQ Sauce. Top with lettuce and tomato and serve. Serves 6.
